i u northwest community garden 1-4-2014

at least my presence on campus couldn't technically be construed as trespassing since the campus "opened" thursday...there wasn't much going on ;last saturday and there is even less to see today...there is a fair blanket of insulating snow over the mulches and the green manures are covered...there is more snow in the forecast along with brutal cold which should keep a lid on things...for now...but i see the forecast has temperatures well above freezing by the end of next week...last winter was a cycle of snowfall and melt...snow cover usually means extended cold but i have to wonder what march will bring.
