cornered

the new garden site has gone from the barren look in the top photo( from the end of march ) to having an "established" look that the two corner boxes that front 35th avenue give it...the boxes bracket the front and establish the perimeter of the garden whose interior planning can now proceed...that is in the hands of more aesthetically talented people than i could possibly be and i am curious to see the final plan...that is for future growth...the garden is in transition and should prosper in its new home...we had good help yesterday and the construction moved along well and seemed a bit more efficient since we had some experience...despite a necessary trip to the hardware store for some sundries...university maintenance pitched in ( bottom photo, with ellen ), helping to move some soil...unfortunately not all the help we had could stay for the end-of-day photo op...however our thanks go out to them for their time and expertise...it made the day shorter and smoother...the expansion is not over with...there are more beds to build and more crops to plant...stop by when you have a minute...to help or just look around...the changes will keep coming.
