it's quiet yet...

...but that won't last...the garlic is looking robust and coming along nicely...soon enough the relentless jerusalem artichokes will be poking through the soil and then the bed is technically theirs...the garlic will be a temporary trespasser on a native's turf...the wheat grass is greening up and looking as though the winter left it laughing...non-native, but perennial...it belongs as i see it...the seventeenth of this month is la via campesina's "international day of farmers' struggles: peasant seeds in resistance"...i will be taking some time to plant that day...in the community garden and in my yard...by the end of the month things will be rolling...by june they will be unstoppable...see you in the garden.
