meet the beetles

at first glance the pole beans on a tomato cage trellis seemed to be just fine...but with a closer look i found some skeletalized leaves...many insects munch leaves in the garden and it is no particular issue...leaves eaten away to skeletal remains however point to japanese beetles as the culprit..and, sure enough, there one was...one beetle does not make an infestation...it doesn't make me happy either...so it's time to plant more geraniums...except someone who shall remain nameless here gave the rest of my last flat of geraniums to one of the daughters...so first i have to locate said geraniums in july...there may be some to be had but i may need to find a perennial trap crop/repellant for these little rascals like foxglove.
