the nursery, a sprout, and, perhaps, a seed.

the mashua in the nursery is still dong fine ans is that spud tot he right which will be needing a new home soon...
there are some more spuds hanging out under the nursery lights...they have a bit further to go before a new home is in order...
thr transplanted mashua is standing tall...for now...it will be vining soon enough and i need to work out some sort of trellis that will fit in or around the bucket...
we will see if the egyptian walking onions develop aerial bulbs in the basement that can be put outside in spring ( that is, after all, where these came from )
one of the three yacon rhizomes i planted in a container in the basement fifty-three days ago...
...has sprouted and will soon begin to leaf...it may be joined by the other two and i have hopes of both tubers and more rhizomes to plant in spring...
finally, over in the teosinte corner...
the oldest of the zea mexicana flowers has developed a node at its base...
that looks as if it just might be a one-seed ear...i am hoping and will be keeping an eye on this one fairly closely....and hoping the other flowers follow suit.
